Norfolk Broads Little Lakeland lies on the Norfolk / Suffolk border 20 miles in from the coast. The historic city of Norwich is some 30 minutes away and IPSWICH, the county town of Suffolk, can be reached in 45 minutes. The Norfolk Broads start at Beccles and are 20 minutes away. There are 2 pubs, both serving food, within walking distance, and the small town of Harleston with its weekly market and wide variety of shops is 2 miles away. The market town of Diss is 12 miles away.

There are way-marked walks and cycle routes around Wortwell, Harleston and Bungay for the more energetic and an excellent indoor swimming pool is 5 minutes drive away.

Within 5 miles of Wortwell you can find the Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum at Flixton with its collection of restored aircraft.

Great Yarmouth tourist attractions Within 20 miles lie the bright lights of Great Yarmouth and south of the fishing port of Lowestoft is the Suffolk Heritage Coast with the genteel seaside resort of Southwold.

Also in the area you will find Dunwich and the R.S.P.B. reserver at Minsmere.

A few miles further will find Aldeburgh and Snape Maltings, home of the Aldeburgh festival.
